During the Second World War in December 1944 in a cold winter morning more stringent than Europe had lived until then, a platoon of the 11th Infantry Regiment of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force (FEB), entrenched in the foothills of Monte Castelo in Italy, has a collective panic attack. Cold, hungry and fear, the platoon just panicked down the mountain and lose themselves in the middle of snow and despair.

Em plena Segunda Guerra Mundial, em Dezembro de 1944, durante uma madrugada fria do inverno mais rigoroso que a Europa já vivera até então, um pelotão do 11º Regimento de Infantaria da Força Expedicionária Brasileira (FEB), entrincheirado no sopé do Monte Castelo, na Itália, tem um ataque de pânico colectivo. Com frio, fome e medo, os Pracinhas acabam descendo a montanha apavorados e perdem-se no meio da neve e do desespero.
